Overall | But why is the main character HOMELESS!!! I just don’t understand why a grown, college-educated woman would be sleeping in random places in 100 degree Florida humidity. And rinsing yourself off in the morning at the beach is not a shower. First of all, gross and omg the BO. And second, why does she think it’s funny that she doesn’t know how to make mixed drinks but is pretending to be a bartender.
Pros | This story was not boring but it made insanely annoyed at all of the slapstick humor that wasn’t funny at all. There is no excessive amounts of beer belching activities in this despite the title
Cons | Everything – from the main character acting like an idiot all the time to the victim who was a millionaire but wore a dead armidillo on his head. Not a chance I believe a beach bar in a popular summer resort area would have trouble finding help and then hire some random person with no experience and no knowledge of bartending. Plus I lived in that area for 20+ years, she got all of the geography wrong. You can’t jetski from Fort Walton beach to Fort Pickens and then walk down to Pensacola for a bite to eat. And I threw the book across the room after the 50th time she said Redneck Riviera.

Description | MURDER ON TAP
With Chicago winters in the rearview mirror, Chloe Jackson is making good on a promise: help her late friend’s grandmother run the Sea Glass Saloon in the Florida Panhandle. To Chloe’s surprise, feisty Vivi Slidell isn’t the frail retiree Chloe expects. Nor is Emerald Cove. It’s less a sleepy fishing village than a panhandle hotspot overrun with land developers and tourists. But it’s a Sea Glass regular who’s mysteriously crossed the cranky Vivi. When their bitter argument comes to a head and he’s found dead behind the bar, guess who’s the number one suspect?
In trying to clear Vivi’s name, Chloe discovers the old woman isn’t the only one in Emerald Cove with secrets. Under the laidback attitude, sparkling white beaches, and small town ways something terrible is brewing. And the sure way a killer can keep those secrets bottled up is to finish off one murder with a double shot: aimed at Chloe and Vivi.
